Collaborating for Consumers: Working together to stop scams

In recognition—and celebration—of this year’s National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), Consumer Action is putting on a train-the-trainer webinar that will help you protect the community you serve from the latest rounds of fraudulent schemes. Our panelists, including representatives from the FTC, AARP and Amazon, will deliver an enlightening discussion of the scams most impacting consumers right now, experts’ top recommendations for avoiding fraud, and, importantly, where and why to report fraud. We’ll also take a close look at how community-based organizations, consumer advocacy groups, and private industry, along with government and law enforcement agencies, can work together to protect consumers and derail fraudsters’ latest shenanigans.
